Jacki Karsh

Jacki Karsh is a six time Emmy-nominated multimedia journalist, covering Los Angeles County for LA36's LA County Channel. Jacki reports on social and humanitarian issues impacting Angelenos. Her pieces focus on the County-wide homelessness crisis, political developments, impactful scientific innovation, criminal justice reform, transformative infrastructure, and community initiatives.

 

She has previously reported for CityTV Santa Monica, Young Hollywood, the multimedia platform Business Rockstars and Westside TV. A farmer's market segment on Westside TV  that she co created and hosted called "Market Report"regularly generated tens of thousands views. For nearly a decade, Jacki has also anchored and moderated MontyTV at the annual Montgomery Summit in Santa Monica. In this role, she has interviewed some of the biggest newsmakers, entrepreneurs, and investors in the technology and finance space.

 

Jacki is a distinguished speaker and sought-after moderator, frequently leading insightful discussions on complex issues surrounding Angelenos, media ethics, and the intersection of the two. She brings critical topics to the forefront and fosters meaningful dialogue that educates and inspires. Jacki’s ability to connect with audiences, ask the right questions, and provide a platform for diverse voices helps bridge gaps in understanding and empowers communities to confront challenges with informed perspectives and actionable insights. 

 

Jacki graduated with a master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism in 2014 and cum laude from Columbia University in 2013 with a B.A. in English and Comparative Literature. She was honored with a King's Crown Award from Columbia University for her contribution to the media landscape and received the Communicator of the Year Award from New York Women in Communications. She serves on the board of directors for the Columbia University Alumni Association of Southern California Board and previously on the board of directors of Columbia College Women and the Columbia University Young Alumni Fund Advisory Board. She is also a board member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and
